THE CONSORTIUM

TEAM INGENIERÍA – Coordinator

Team Ingeniería carries out the structural and behavioural analysis of the gas in the cavern and the characterisation of the salt formations on the peninsula. It is also responsible for integrating the various components into an integrated storage system.

IBERDROLA

Iberdrola develops a technical-economic model to estimate the feasibility of hydrogen storage in salt cavities in future projects for industrial applications.

TAMOIN

Tamoin defines the specifications and requirements for external equipment and auxiliary systems (compressors, control systems, cooling and purification systems, etc.) for hydrogen injection and extraction in caverns and creates the conceptual design of the injection and extraction system.

TUBACEX TUBOS INOXIDABLES (TTI)

Tubacex carries out the manufacture of samples to study the sensitivity of the materials to embrittlement at high pressures in contact with hydrogen and possible gases found in the cavern for the proper design of the tubular hydrogen injection and extraction system.

TUBOS REUNIDOS GROUP

Tubos Reunidos focuses on the development of serviceable materials for use in piping systems dedicated to the injection and extraction of hydrogen, brine and existing gases or those generated during operation in the salt cavern.

BASQUE ENERGY CLUSTER

The Basque Energy Cluster coordinates the communication and dissemination activities in collaboration with Basque companies working in the hydrogen value chain in order to transfer the results obtained in the project to these companies.

SIDEREX

Siderex fosters the communication and dissemination of the results obtained in the project, transferring them to the entire value chain of the Spanish steel sector (companies, Technology Centres/Universities and Institutions) in the fields applicable to the project.
